Sharknado (2012) TV-14

Tara Reid (American Pie), Ian Ziering (Guiding Light)

A freak hurricane off the coast of California starts flooding L.A. and dumping sharks into the streets.

A perfect movie for those folks who are looking for films that are so bad, they're good.

While I can occasionally go for that kind of thing, the constant, terrible grammatical and spelling errors in the subtitles were making me want to punch someone in the snout.  It's a SyFy original feature... I should have known what to expect.

The terribly inaccurate science regarding weaponry, sharks that eat people like they're pencil sharpeners, sharks that still manage to be killing machines when on dry land or in chlorinated water, and horrible writing just take it from bad, to good, and back around to bad again.

I nearly stopped watching when someone quipped about the victim's blood in the water meaning it was "that time of the month".  I probably should have.

Bottom line... One laugh out loud moment, one holy crap moment during the helicopter scene, and a whopping five eyeroll moments at the constant, terrible cheesiness.  I gave this one out of five stars, but if you're working a difficult knitting pattern, this might be okay for background noise if you don't mind feeling your brain cells actually screaming and running away in terror from the torture you're inflicting on them.
